Nuts and Bolts
aka Frequently Asked Questions
1
How does this actually work?
First step, let's hop on a free, 15ish minute call to talk about your interest/goals, what I can offer and our mutual fit for working together. Reach me via my contact page to get started!
Next step, if we're a good fit for working together we'll have follow-up conversations to set expectations, scope, fees and all of the other details needed in order to create a strong frame prior to beginning our relationship building.
2
Can you supervise me even if I don't live in Illinois
Yes! I am a licensed psychologist in Illinois and can supervise clinicians across the US. I meet the requirements for most states licensure laws regarding supervision. However, there are a few exceptions. Before we start supervision we'll verify that I meet the requirements for providing supervision in the state(s) where you live and state(s) you're hoping to become licensed in.
3
How often will we meet for supervision?
I'm flexible depending on what you need! I've met with supervisees on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis.
4
Can you sign my paperwork for licensure?
Most likely! If you're applying to become a licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical professional counselor or licensed psychologist in Illinois, and we're actively engaged in ongoing supervision together, then most definitely I can sign your licensure paperwork.
For similar licensure types in other states I most likely can sign your licensure paperwork and we'll double check that together.
For marriage and family therapist and social worker licenses, your board may have specific requirements for who can sign your paperwork. Reach out via the contact form and we'll talk!
5
If you can't sign my licensure paperwork can we still meet for supervision?
Absolutely! I've provided supervision for various mental health professionals even if I can't sign their paperwork. What a gift to yourself to get high-quality supervision tailred to your needs!
6
What do you charge?
Let's talk on the phone! I value transparency and will be upfront about my rates. I also value connection, meaning I am open to discussing a mutually workable fee structure based on both of our needs.
7
Will we meet in-person or virtually?
Virtually. I'm open to offering in-person trainings and consultation if that feels like the most effective format for your needs and goals.
8
Will you create a training specific to my staff or trainees?
I'd love to! If what I'm talking about resonates with you I am eager to explore how we can curate something together.
